Chronically ill man’s battle with council finally over as ‘noisy neighbours' move out

Thomas Corney said he is "relieved" that the tenants next door to his property in Laundry Lane, Thorpe St Andrew, have cleared off four months after he lodged an initial complaint to Broadland District Council about the problem.

Mr Corney, who has myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) - a chronic condition that causes extreme tiredness - says the "constant racket" from his neighbours' home had left him bed-bound for days on end.

The tenant, who rents his three-bedroom flat in Thorpe St Andrew for £1,000 a month, accused Broadland District Council of "not caring" about the issue.

He submitted a noise........
