The Story of King Indrasena
Once, there lived a righteous king named Indrasena, who ruled the kingdom of Mahishmati. He was prosperous, respected by his subjects and devoted to Lord Vishnu.
Despite his royal responsibilities, Indrasena remained committed to religious observances and dharma. His life appeared peaceful until Sage Narada arrived at his palace with unexpected news.
Narada told the king that he had encountered Indrasena’s deceased father in the realm of Yama. His father was experiencing difficulties and had not yet attained the higher state he desired.
