India replaces Indonesia as least preferred Asian market in BofA fund survey

India has replaced Indonesia as the least-preferred Asian equity market among global fund managers, according to a Bank of America survey. Investors cited weak growth, high valuations, limited reforms and a lack of clear AI exposure as major concerns.

New Delhi: India has slipped to the bottom of the preference list for Asian stock markets among global fund managers, replacing Indonesia, according to a Bank of America survey reported by Bloomberg.

The result is a bit awkward for Indian equities. Company earnings have improved and foreign money has started coming back, yet many global investors are still not fully convinced. The survey found that 32% of respondents were net underweight on India, the highest among the Asian markets covered.
