Kia confirms Sorento will get AWD; will be brand’s first strong-hybrid

Kia has confirmed that Sorento will be coming with AWD setup in India. It will also get Live Gen AI, which is an in-car artificial intelligence assistant designed to respond to natural voice commands and much more.

New Delhi: Before its September 4, 2026 India launch, Kia has confirmed that the upcoming Sorento SUV will be available with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. This will make it the first ICE-powered Kia model sold in India to offer AWD. The brand has also revealed Live Gen AI, an in-car artificial intelligence assistant designed to respond to natural voice commands and help operate selected vehicle functions.
