Defender 110 prices fall by around Rs 34 lakh thanks to local assembly

JLR has commenced assembling the Defender 110 in India via the CKD route. The deliveries of the locally made SUVs start on November 15.

New Delhi: JLR India has slashed prices of the Defender 110 after the start of local assembly. The price revision covers the X-Dynamic HSE trims powered by 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, 3.0-litre turbo-petrol and 3.0-litre diesel engines. Along with lower prices, the locally assembled SUVs also have additional features as standard.

The 3.0-litre petrol and diesel versions of the Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE are now priced at Rs 1.18 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Earlier, both these trims cost Rs 1.52 crore, meaning they have a price drop of Rs 34 lakh. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol trim gets a smaller........
