Tamil Nadu, West Bengal vote today in high-stakes assembly elections

TN, Bengal assembly elections: Both states witnessed high decibel campaigns and are ruled by regional heavyweights. While M K Stalin and DMK will be looking for a second term in Tamil Nadu. Mamata Banerjee is eying her fourth term in Bengal. Both of these heavyweights are pitted against BJP -- the party is junior ally of AIADMK in Tamil Nadu.

New Delhi: Stage is set for high stakes assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal with both states going to polls on Thursday.

In Tamil Nadu, voting will be held for all 234 seats, polling in Bengal will be held for 152 seats in this phase. The second phase of voting in Bengal will take place on April 29.

Both states witnessed high decibel campaigns and are ruled by regional heavyweights. While M K Stalin and DMK will be looking for a second term in Tamil Nadu.
