LG expands into home, office and factory robots with major new plan

LG Electronics has created a new Robotics Business Center to bring its robot development, sales and manufacturing plans under one unit. The company is targeting home, commercial and industrial robotics, supported by a new data factory and AI training work.

New Delhi: LG Electronics has created a new Robotics Business Center that will report directly to CEO Lyu Jae-cheol. The unit will bring business development, sales, supply chain and manufacturing operations under one organisation as LG expands its robotics plans.

The centre became operational on July 1, 2026, four months before LG’s usual annual restructuring. The early move shows how quickly the South Korean company wants to build its robotics business across homes, offices, factories and other commercial spaces.
