Delhi Jal Board case: Rouse Avenue court sends AAP leader Satyendar Jain, 4 others to 14-day judicial custody
The Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday sent AAP leader Satyendar Jain and 4 others to 14-days judicial custody in a case related to alleged irregularities in the tendering process of Delhi Jal Board. AAP convener, Arvind Kejriwal has called the move political vendetta and said that the arrest of Jain was made at the direction of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
New Delhi: The Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday remanded Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain and 4 others to 14-days judicial custody in a corruption case related to the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). Apart from this, another accused Ankit Shrivastava was sent to 2-days police custody, said a Times of India report.
The court issued notices on bail pleas of the accused. The bail applications would be heard in court on August 25.
