Rajasthan’s Deputy CM and Finance Minister Diya Kumari will present the state budget 2025-26 on Wednesday. According to reports, this budget will be in line with the thinking of the double-engine government and will focus on the overall development of the state. It will have a special focus on infrastructure, the economy, and employment instead of populist announcements. Among many other challenges, there will be five major challenges for which the government may have to work hard. This time the government will present a green budget. According to sources, this time the expectations of the budget being populist are a little less, and the government’s emphasis will be more on infrastructure and development.

Sources say that a green budget will be presented for the state forest and environment, and the government might announce recruitment for vacant posts in the forest department in the budget. Apart from this, new safari parks are expected to promote eco-tourism, keeping in mind the wildlife sanctuaries in the state. Special provisions are expected to speed up village displacement from tiger project areas, and this year, green cover is expected to be promoted by increasing the target of the plantation. The forest department is also expected to increase resources to prevent human-wildlife conflict.
