AAP Exit? Middle class Delhi voters make their choice; BJP has clear edge, Congress on a duck!
New Delhi: Delhi witnessed a decent voters turnout on February 5, with a 57.7 per cent voting recorded till 5 pm. The question that everyone had in mind was whether AAP riding on its freebies and welfare schemes would clinch a third term or will the BJP be lucky. It all depended on which way the middle-class voters would swing. Will they go with AAP or BJP or Congress will be clear on February 8 but the exit poll predictions have a clear winner!
As per the most of the psychologists, it appears to be swinging the BJP way. While Matrize maintains a balance between AAP and BJP, awarding the former 32-37 seats, it has predicted that the BJP will win 35-40. Chanakya Strategies, predicts 39-44 seats to the BJP and a modest 25-28 seats for the AAP. The JVC voter has also predicted a landslide victory for the saffron party, giving it 39-45 seats and the AAP gets 22-31 seats.
The Congress seems to be struggling to open its account, yet again! Although JVC has handed it 2-3 seats.
PM Modi-led BJP made several important proposals to attract the middle-class voters in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. In the recently presented Union Budget 2025, too, the government has made major changes in the income tax slabs, making annual income up to Rs 12 lakh completely tax-free, giving tax relief to the middle class, which will be helpful in strengthening their financial condition.
Is this the reason for the victory that BJP is sensing in the Delhi elections?
In the Delhi elections, it is said that there is a triangular contest between AAP, BJP and Congress, but in reality, there has always been a bipolar contest in Delhi. This time the contest is between AAP and BJP while Congress........
