Assam signs MoU with Medanta to bring robotic surgery to GMCH

Assam has partnered with Medanta to set up a Centre of Excellence in Robotic Surgery at GMCH, aiming to introduce advanced procedures, strengthen medical training and improve specialised surgical care across departments.

New Delhi: The Assam government has taken a step towards expanding advanced surgical care in the state by partnering with Global Health Limited, which operates Medanta. The two sides signed an MoU on September 1 to establish a Centre of Excellence in Robotic Surgery at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
