EPF: WhatsApp services on the way; automatic settlement of old accounts up to ₹1000

EPFO is rolling out two new initiatives. Under this, automatic settlement of eligible inactive PF accounts with balance up to Rs.1000 will be done. Apart from this, members will also be able to use EPFO ​​services through WhatsApp. However, the full details of the eligibility of these features and the services available on WhatsApp are yet to be released.

Kolkata: EPFO New Initiatives: Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is gearing up to make EPF related services easier for its crores of members. The organization has launched a new initiatives on its 74th foundation day (November 1) which entails automatic settlement of eligible inactive EPF accounts with a balance of up to Rs 1000 and provision of EPFO ​​services through WhatsApp. The objective of these initiatives is to provide easy access to PF related facilities to members and to simplify the process of settlement of small, long inactive accounts.
