Taiwan’s representative in Japan boycotted Nagasaki’s atomic bombing anniversary ceremony after Taipei objected to its delegation being seated alongside international organisations rather than with foreign diplomatic missions.
New Delhi: Taiwan’s top representative in Japan, Lee Yi-yang, boycotted the 81st anniversary ceremony commemorating the US atomic bombing of Nagasaki, accusing the city authorities of deliberately downgrading Taiwan’s status through its seating arrangements.
