Maharashtra milk prices to rise by Rs 2 per litre from August 11
Milk prices in Maharashtra will increase by Rs 2 per litre from August 11, with dairies citing higher transportation, packaging and procurement costs as main reasons behind the move.
New Delhi: Milk is set to get costlier in Maharashtra from August 11, with the price of both cow and buffalo milk being increased by Rs 2 per litre.
The decision was taken by the Milk Producers and Processors Welfare Association at a meeting attended by representatives of major cooperative and private dairies. The association said the hike was necessary amid rising costs across the dairy supply chain.
