New Delhi: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will arrive in India on Monday for an official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The trip is both timely and pivotal, coming at a time of high uncertainties in West Asia, Donald Trump’s tariff threats, and Iran–US tensions. Both India and the UAE party to a lot of these uncertainties but also are key trading partners, which makes the meeting doubly important.

India and the UAE share a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership that has grown rapidly in recent years. This visit gives both leaders a chance to take this further and also attempt to open new avenues of expanding the bilateral ties between the two countries.
