CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s Agra home defaced with ‘Gyanesh gaddar’, ‘vote chor’
Congress workers protesting against CEC Gyanesh Kumar allegedly defaced his Agra residence with spray paint on Monday. The protests were linked to the ongoing SIR and Election Commission row.
New Delhi: Congress workers held protests in several parts of India on Monday demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, with some workers allegedly defacing his residence in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
A group of Congress workers reportedly reached Kumar’s house in Vijay Nagar, Agra, on Monday morning and raised slogans. They also put up stickers and pamphlets outside the residence before allegedly using black spray paint on the main gate and walls.
The words ‘Gyanesh Gaddar’ and ‘Vote Chor’ were written on the property, according to videos and photographs circulated on social media.
The Indian Youth Congress shared footage of the incident on X and said its workers had smeared black ink on the CEC’s residence. The youth wing also levelled allegations against Kumar and the BJP........
