Here is what to expect from Anno 117: Pax Romana
New Delhi: Anno 117: Pax Romana is the latest game in the widely-successful city building realtime strategy series, that has seen seven titles since 2008. Most of these games are based in the second millenium, with a couple in the future. Anno 117 is the oldest setting in the series so far, and is set in the year when Rome reached the height of its power, covering its greatest territorial extent. The time period of the game itself is one of the biggest motivations for playing this title, with a compelling storyline and great graphics enhancing the experience. We got to check out a preview build of the game.

Now the setting is instantly compelling with those familiar with the history and geography of ancient Rome. Unlike the previous iterations of the game, the players can choose between two starting provinces, Latium which is the region in which Rome cropped up, and Albion, an old name for Great Britain that acts as a placeholder name for the Celtic side of the game, with the maps and buildings reminiscent of Rouen or Le Conquet. New players have the option of starting in the campaign mode which has a story, or just start building cities in the Sandbox mode.
There are a lot of cues that demonstrate the quality of the title, including artwork that sets the tone for the experience, excellent graphics that looks great on a wide range of machines (don’t expect to play the........
