New Delhi: The Donald Trump administration has proposed ending the 60-day grace period that allows H-1B and certain other temporary visa holders to remain in the United States after losing their jobs, Reuters reported. The US Department of Homeland Security published the proposal in the Federal Register on Thursday. The change has not yet taken effect and must pass through a two-month public comment period.
Under the proposed rule, affected foreign workers may have to leave the US after their employment ends unless they obtain another lawful immigration status. They would no longer automatically receive up to 60 days to find another employer, seek fresh........
