SP asks UP minister Sanjay Nishad to join PDA after protest over Gonda trader’s murder

Samajwadi Party spokesperson Dr Ashutosh Verma attacked the Uttar Pradesh government after minister Sanjay Nishad staged protests over the murder of Gonda trader Vinod Kumar Sahni. Verma urged Nishad to leave the NDA and join the PDA alliance ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.

New Delhi: The Samajwadi Party on Friday used Uttar Pradesh fisheries minister Sanjay Nishad’s protest over the murder of a Gonda trader to target the BJP-led state government.

SP spokesperson Dr Ashutosh Verma claimed that the protest showed even a cabinet minister had to stage a sit-in to secure justice for a member of his community.
