11 die after consuming toxic liquor in MP’s Sagar, over 25 hospitalised

Around 11 people reportedly died and nearly 25 others were admitted to hospitals after allegedly consuming toxic liquor in villages under Madhya Pradesh’s Banda Assembly constituency. Authorities sealed several liquor shops and began collecting samples. State Congress president Jitu Patwari demanded a judicial inquiry and action against the alleged liquor mafia within 24 hours.

New Delhi: At least 11 people reportedly died after allegedly consuming toxic liquor in several villages under the Banda Assembly constituency in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district, triggering panic across the region.

Nearly 25 people were admitted to hospitals, while four remained in critical condition. Medical staff initially treated the patients at Banda Civil Hospital before referring them to Sagar for advanced care.
