‘We may hit Pickaxe very soon’: Trump threatens strike on Iran’s nuclear site

US President Donald Trump has threatened to strike Iran’s heavily fortified Pickaxe Mountain nuclear complex if Washington detects suspicious activity there. He said US intelligence closely monitors movements across Iran and defended the American military campaign as necessary to stop Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

New Delhi: US President Donald Trump on Friday issued a fresh threat to Iran, saying American forces could strike its fortified underground nuclear site at Pickaxe Mountain “very soon”.

Trump told reporters at the Oval Office that the United States closely monitors activity at the site and across Iran. He warned of a strong military response if officials detected any suspicious movement.

“We may hit Pickaxe very soon because if there was anything going on with Pickaxe,” Trump said.
