Uncertainity continues over India’s tour of Bangladesh as Afghanistan confirm T20I series in Delhi

India's tour of Bangladesh appears in doubt after the Afghanistan Cricket Board confirmed a three-match T20I series in Delhi in the same period.

New Delhi: The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has confirmed a three-match T20I series against India in September this year, further complicating matters for Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Bangladesh sports ministry are working hard to resolve the deadlock with India to ensure their scheduled white-ball tour of the country goes ahead as planned.

However, Afghanistan have now announced a three-match T20I series in Delhi in the same period. ACB chief executive Naseeb Khan told Cricbuzz that the board has agreed on the dates for the T20I series between India and Afghanistan. The three-match rubber will be played in Delhi from September 13 to 17. In a letter to stakeholders, he confirmed that the dates and venues have been finalised.

However, if the Afghanistan series will create an immediate clash with the proposed itinerary for the India tour of Bangladesh. India were scheduled to tour Bangladesh........
