Mohammed Shami struck on the very first ball of his first over on his debut for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their clash against Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026 on Wednesday.

New Delhi: Mohammed Shami impressed straightaway with first-ball success on his debut for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Wednesday. Shami struck on the very first ball of his first over in LSG’s opener against Delhi Capitals (DC), removing KL Rahul on a duck at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

After LSG were bowled out for a low-key total of 141 runs, batting first in the contest, Shami got his team off to a dream start with the ball during DC’s run chase. Opening the bowling for the hosts, the veteran India pacer picked up a wicket on the first ball in his debut game. DC opener Rahul got caught by Mohsin Khan on the boundary rope off Shami’s first ball.
