Opinion | Is The Sangh Parivar Out Of Touch With Gen Z?

Mohan Bhagwat has created an important opportunity for the entire Sangh to open a bridge to Gen Z

The RSS chief is holding a mega outreach to connect with Gen Z, to understand them. That, by itself, is puzzling. After all, the RSS is the world’s largest citizen-based voluntary organisation. Its gargantuan cadre works in every nook and cranny of this country, and, therefore, by logical extension, the Sangh should have had its finger on the pulse of crores of Indians.

Yet the very need for such an outreach suggests there may be a gap. The Jantar Mantar Gen-Z upsurge appeared to expose the Sangh Parivar’s inherent ponderousness and the lack of any credible interlocutor to engage the protestors. This prompts a basic question: Why doesn’t the Sangh get Gen Z?
