It is outrageous that criminal mobs continue to take over streets in cities across California — and to loot businesses that are simply trying to serve the public.

In the latest example, a group of about 20 looters tore up a Superior Grocers store in South Los Angeles after yet another illegal street takeover.

Luckily, no one was hurt — but employees had to lock themselves in a room on the second floor.

What is the point of looting a grocery store? Almost nothing there has a resale value. 

We hear about “food deserts” in inner-city neighborhoods — and this is partly why: Because a tiny, violent minority decides to make it impossible to do business in those areas.

As a result, nearby children and their parents will struggle to find healthy, nutritious food.
