Former Alberta premier and federal cabinet minister Jason Kenney offers a blunt assessment of how Canada is responding to the external and internal challenges presently facing the country. In this interview with Rob Breakenridge, Kenney reflects on the 20th anniversary of the 2006 Conservative election victory, the current state of the party, and the powerful speeches last week from former Prime Minister Stephen Harper where he called for national unity and a stronger response to the trade threat from the Trump administration. We’ll also hear Kenney’s thoughts on the importance of the federal government getting it right on the energy and immigration files, and also why he believes it’s important for conservative federalists to push back against the Alberta separatist movement.
