The Press Council has ruled that a cartoon published in The Age and Sydney Morning Herald in January breached the standards of practice, as it was likely to cause “substantial offence, distress or prejudice” to the Jewish community.

The Cathy Wilcox cartoon was published on January 7 and suggested that bipartisan support for a royal commission into the Bondi Beach terror attack was driven by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
