Side hustles might start as a way to earn a little extra to help pay the bills or have a little more fun on a Saturday night, but many founders have managed to grow them into something more.
Some very familiar tech companies got their start as side hustles or side projects, including Groupon, Twitter, and Instagram (which began as Burbn, a location-based app for whisky lovers). And there are countless more side hustles that have gone on to be fully fledged businesses of all sizes.
