On Tuesday, consulting giant Deloitte joined a growing list of companies that have committed millions of dollars to out of court settlements resolving Department of Justice litigation targeting corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices. Many of those firms now consider such payments an unfortunate cost of doing business under the Trump administration, though far more have instead dumped the policies to avoid trouble they may attract.
