Gymshark could face a class action lawsuit that alleges it failed to disclose influencer partnerships on social media.
Ben Francis founded the U.K.-based brand in 2012 as a 19-year-old college student after spotting an opportunity to create better-fitting activewear for his local gym community. Gymshark skyrocketed into the zeitgeist thanks to Francis’ savvy strategy of sending free products to popular fitness YouTubers. It became a unicorn in 2020.
