The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) made a mark in terms of efficiency, on April 30, 2025, by declaring the results of the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations simultaneously; this is for the first time since its inception.

The result was declared in a time bound manner soon after the culmination of the exams of both the classes.

Before the formal declaration of the result, the statement of JKBOSE officials that they will try to declare the result of both the classes on the same day, took everybody by surprise as it was something unbelievable but not impossible as proved by the authorities at JKBOSE.

Without any ifs or buts, the authorities proved that even JKBOSE can perform exceptionally or surpass expectations if driven by strong willpower.

If we recall the past incidents, the JKBOSE kept its standards always at least from 2014 to early 2023.

We all remember how hard JKBOSE worked post 2014 floods by conducting exams and ensuring timely declaration of the results as well. JKBOSE consistently maintained high standards while simultaneously raising the bar of expectations among stakeholders.

The JKBOSE has worked and even delivered, during tough times as well.

How can one forget the challenges JKBOSE faced during the 2016 unrest when the schools and colleges remained closed for around five months. Even if the students were given relaxation in the syllabus but there was no relaxation for JKBOSE at all. The number of students and the deadline to declare the results did not change. And JKBOSE did not........
