Waste management is no longer an issue at the frills. It is at the very centre of urgent issues confronting J&K for the past many years.

As tons of trash pile up in the length and breadth of J&K, particularly the Kashmir valley, we are confronted with a monster of a problem. It is no longer possible for us to turn our gaze the other way. We have to confront this problem head-on.
