Micron Technology is investing S$9.5 billion ($7 billion) to build an advanced chip packaging facility in Singapore as the semiconductor giant expands its capacity to cater to booming demand for AI chips.
To be built right next to the company’s existing factory in Woodlands in northern Singapore, the so-called high-bandwidth memory (HBM) facility will start commercial operations next year and expand Micron’s advanced chip manufacturing capabilities significantly in 2027, the company said in a © Forbes
