My girlfriend is constantly on her phone.

If we go out for food, her mobile is on the table.

She checks it every minute in the cinema, watching TV, walking the dog – there is virtually nothing we do where her phone isn’t with her.

I don’t want to come across as needy or controlling, but now I feel myself getting angry as soon as she picks it up.

What do you suggest I say to her?

You are right to be annoyed and upset because being in the same room isn’t the same as being present.
