AnthroTek, a material science company based in Newmarket, has been selected for the Startups 100 Index 2026.

Starting in his garage after work in Cambridgeshire, Dr Raoul Peltier began creating multi-layered silicone composites with an AI-powered 3D printer.

Then, in early 2024, after successfully supplying masks for Danny Boyle's zombie film, he met entrepreneur Nazmus Tareque, who saw "huge potential" in the venture.

Soon after, Mr Peltier left his role as head of DNA synthesis at the biotech firm Evontex to form the new company in July 2024.

The small team of six full-time staff moved into their office in Victoria Way in Newmarket that summer.
