Motorists first spotted the signs on Sunday, April 19, at the junction of the A145 and the A12 in Henham, suggesting the busy road was shut.

Further road closed notices and yellow turn-back diversion signs were later seen at every junction along almost eight miles of the A145 towards Beccles.

Kev Rouse, who regularly travels the road for work, was left confused by the situation and decided to check whether the closure was genuine.
