After months of discussions between Lidl and Suffolk County Council's flood team, the international supermarket chain has altered its proposals for a new store on Norwich Road, Halesworth, in an effort to address outstanding objections.

While some technical issues were resolved after an initial holding objection was raised last year, the council has continued to press for further improvements to "green" drainage features within the development, particularly in the car park.
