Protests grow over removal of town's only remaining phone box
The Grade-II listed kiosk on St Mary's Street in Bungay, near the churchyard, has been earmarked for removal by BT, which says it is no longer financially viable to maintain due to low usage.
The box, designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, is the town's last remaining operational public phone kiosk and has been described by locals as an important part of the town's heritage.
