Literature takes centre stage at school's annual festival
The celebration took place at Smithdon High School in Hunstanton during the first two weeks of March, featuring author talks, competitions and themed activities for all year groups.
Marie Taylor, the school’s librarian who organised the event, said: "The festival provides an opportunity for students of all ages to engage with literature creatively, whether through writing, performance or discovering new books.

"It has become a highlight of the school calendar, and a wonderful way to promote a love of reading across the school community."
Author Lisa Thompson visited the school during the festival, which also included a Roald Dahl day, a journalism day and a blind date with a book activity.
A masked reader challenge saw students trying to identify disguised readers.
Headteacher Amanda Gibbins said: "The Smithdon Literary Festival is important because it places reading, writing and creativity at the heart of school life."
