Film-maker Joey Carbstrong, 38, from Derby, together with four other men and a woman were arrested at the Cranswick Country Foods abattoir in Watton.

The group occupied the top of an active pig gas chamber for several hours from the early morning forcing the shutting down operations at the plant.

The abattoir supplies supermarkets Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Aldi, as well as Marks and Spencer.
