Doctor who lied on CV to take on senior role at Norfolk hospital is struck off

Dr Surrayya Najeeb, a consultant in acute and respiratory medicine who worked at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn, was removed from the medical register following a Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service hearing this month.

Najeeb, who qualified in 1985 from a medical university in Pakistan, and later went on to be a locum consultant at Blackpool Teaching Hospital, did not attend the tribunal and was not represented.

The tribunal heard concerns were raised about her clinical performance at Blackpool in 2022 resulting in her being moved to a more junior........
