The housing order follows a mass cull order of a commercial flock in Lakenheath, west Suffolk farm after avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was discovered at the weekend.
It was the first incident in Suffolk this season - which starts in October - and the tenth in the UK.
From midnight tonight poultry flocks must be housed indoors.
