Cancer patient turns diagnosis into lifeline for others
Gemma Seager, 42, a personal trainer from Norwich, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2021 after discovering that her back pain was actually a collapsed vertebra.
She underwent an autologous stem cell transplant at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital (N&N) in December 2021, spending two weeks in hospital isolation over Christmas.
Ms Seager said: "It was a lonely experience.
"The treatment tested me physically, emotionally and mentally.
