North Norfolk District Council has shared the images as construction of its new car park in Happisburgh off Lighthouse Lane is well under way.

The new site is being constructed after rapid erosion has left the village's existing car park at risk of crumbling into the sea.

In a post online, the council said that despite recent weather, "progress is going well" with much of the brick weave paving already completed in the road and soon to be connected fully to Lighthouse Lane.

It added that the car park is being layered so that the brick weave can be completed.

This is part of the first phase of the scheme, which includes the foundation, road markings, parking equipment and fencing.

The second phase of the project is the removal of the existing car park, which includes the removal of existing surface materials and backfilling the area.

Drivers are able to continue to use the current car park area until the new one is completed, which council officials said would be in the early summer.
