New war memorial to be unveiled in car park of village hall
A statue of a soldier on top of a brick platform has been installed at Ditchingham's village hall ahead of the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
Neighbours have said the process has been on-going for "a couple of weeks" but the organisers of the new memorial remain unknown.
A spokesman for Ditchingham Parish Council has confirmed that the statue has not been ordered, funded or erected by the council.
She said: "While the parish council supports the commemoration of those who served, it has not played a role in the planning or placement of this memorial."
