Nick II and Wilfred are two cuckoos that made Worlingham Marshes, near Beccles, their home before setting off to Africa last summer.

And while Wilfred has returned back to the nature reserve, Nick II has now been marked as "presumed dead".

Nick II had tackled the Sahara at the end of July last year, only 11 days after leaving Suffolk.

He travelled to the southern Mauritania and Senegal border but this is where his journey stopped.
