Councillors to visit upmarket 'party house' at centre of village row
More than 50 objections have been lodged against the latest plans by the Wilderness Reserve - a sprawling estate across 8,000 acres of Suffolk countryside providing holiday and party venues.
The company behind the retreat - which is popular with celebrities - wants to build an 18-bedroom venue to host weddings, corporate events, and spa retreats for up to 270 people.
A planning committee meeting was held on this week to determine the fate of the Wilderness Reserve’s controversial venue, Blyth Barn at Valley Farm.
The part retrospective bid for the site in Huntingfield, near Halesworth, was put forward in January to reconfigure three previously approved holiday lets into the single guest house.
Neighbours are resisting the plans, saying what had originally been billed as a peaceful........
