Judge urges women to think before getting into relationship with very 'troubling' man

Ian Kirkwood had been jailed for five months and given a five-year restraining order for assaulting his ex-partner and stalking her after they split up.

But the 39-year-old repeatedly breached the restraining order just weeks after being released from jail.

Norwich Crown Court heard that while the victim was on WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger she could see when he was typing messages.

This left her "extremely anxious", thinking that a message was going to arrive.

But sometimes the messages being typed were not sent or quickly deleted.

The defendant also posted an update on social media after receiving a missed call, in error, from the victim.

Kirkwood, of The Street, Lenwade, appeared in court on Thursday after he admitted breaching the........
