North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) is considering installing a device on Cromer Pier to collect donations from visitors.

The scheme could help raise thousands of pounds to support the upkeep of the attraction, which celebrates its 125th birthday next year.

It comes after officials mooted the possibility of charging people to walk on the pier, but council leaders quickly shut this down.
