Mr Bell, of N G Bell Contractors, hoped to move from Bowthorpe to Wyvern Farm in Garvestone, near Dereham, where he lives.

The site was previously occupied by a bed and breakfast, although this is listed as permanently closed.

The plans, which are part retrospective, also looked to convert agricultural land and buildings as well as store associated vehicles and equipment.
